Sustainable Living Working Group
Responsibilities: Coordinating space use, exhibitors, workshops and other activities for subject areas identified as
sustainable living, including intentional communities, public action, recycling, and generally individual and nonprofit
efforts not fitting into other categories

This interest group will be again in the Ag Building (big brick building) this year.
Sustainable Living Workshops
- 12:00 pm: General Environmental Education
- Interpretive Methods (including waterfall hike around the fairground).
- Presented by the Rural Action Environmental Learning Program (ELP)
- 1:30 pm: Why Save Seeds?
- An interactive learning circle discussion and viewing of the short video "Genetic Timebomb." Also, free heirloom
seeds will be distributed.
- Presented by Community Food Initiatives (CFI)
- 3:00 pm: Approaching Eden
- A unique look at one man's experience building an earth-friendly home complete with slides and original
songs.
