Athens Area Sustainability Festival Vendor and
Exhibitor Information

The Second Annual Athens Area Sustainability Festival will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2002, from 10:00 am to
7:00 pm.
All registration fees are to be turned in at the time of application.
Booth fees for an approximate ten-foot by ten-foot space are $15.00.
Actual booth size varies because of conditions at the Fairgrounds. Vendors
or exhibitors with special needs should indicate specifics on the
application.
Access to electricity costs an extra $5.00. Those requiring electricity
MUST indicate their specific requirements on the application.
In addition to the booth fee, we request that vendors donate fifteen
percent (15%) of gross sales to the Festival.
The deadline for registration is September 29. Walk-ins the day of the
festival will be accepted on a space-available, first-come, first-served
basis.
Set up time the day of the Festival will be 8 a.m. Anyone showing up
after 9 a.m. will forfeit priority siting of their booth to any walk-in who
wants that space.
Food vendors must obtain appropriate permits for their operation. This
includes a permit from the Athens County Board of Health.
All appropriate taxes are the responsibility of each vendor.
When breaking down, vendors and exhibitors must remove ALL debris from
their booth space.
The Festival, its organizers and committees accept no liability for any
injury, loss or damage to goods, displays, equipment, or persons.
No pets will be allowed to accompany vendors or exhibitors, with the
exception of working dogs needed for medical reasons, which must remain on a leash or in harness.
No combustion devices or fires are allowed inside any building.
Combustion devices are permitted outside but may only be used if fire
extinguishing supplies are at ready.
Exhibitors and vendors will provide their own tables, rain/sun cover,
chairs, displays, lights, electrical cords and trash cans. Recycling bins
will be available on-site. The Festival provides no equipment for vendor
use.
Items not allowed for sale or distribution include: weapons or
weapon-like novelties; items made from coral, ivory or other endangered
species; bootlegged records, tapes or CDs; any materials contrary to the
Sustainability Festival values of peace and unity; any materials that
advocate sexism, racism, violence, or that are discriminatory or violent in
content.
All sales and distribution of materials must be conducted in your booth
space. Vendors and exhibitors must stay in designated booths and may not
roam the grounds to sell or hand out anything. No petitions may be
circulated in any place other than in your booth.
No alcohol or drugs are permitted at the Festival.
The application form must be filled out completely. A check for the
full amount of all fees must accompany the application form. Please make your
